Are you talking about the hole where the strap button was, or that insignificant little scratch next to it, that I didn't notice until you zoomed in and circled it?

The scratch ain't nothing. Noone in the audience will ever notice or care - seriously. Worry about how well you play, not that little ding.

I do like the chamfer where the string through holes come out - what brand/model bass is that?

Pic 1-2, looks like the strap peg came out. It should be fixable easily by some who knows what they’re doing. It looks like someone tried to reattach it already and failed. If it doesn’t get fixed right the next time it could turn into a more expensive repair.
Pic 3, looks like one of the knobs took some pressure or got hit and cracked the front of the control cavity. Kind of a bummer but I’d leave it alone.
Pic 4-5, nobody is going to notice.

Oh it is Yamaha bb735a.
So you mean it does not look like an artificial relic?

So is it fine?

So is it fine?

… fine as frogs fur …

3" sheetrock screw to put the strap button back on, and a piece of duct tape over the scratch and you will be good to go another round …

;)

… no worries mate, a few toothpicks, small dowel, or wooden match sticks (as mentioned above) and some wood glue in the strap lock hole, screw back in a pre-drilled hole with screw of choice and grab yourself a black Sharpie for future nicks if they bother you and go wow the crowd … they will love you!! ;)

Well I do not like putting duck tape .
So does it look naturally aged?

… duct tape comment was a poor attempt at humor … see the bottom half of that same post that was offered in earnest after feeling guilty for being so flippant in my reply …

Yes, it looks completely natural, and everyone that reads this thread will agree, as everyone knows things happen … now put your strap button back on, keep your eyes open for a black Sharpie, and keep working on 'memorizing scales' (I read your past posts ;) )

That way, when people see you play, they will think, "Look how natural that bass looks, AND how well he plays …"

;)
