problem with a new amplifier

I just received an Acoustic B200 combo amp today and I'm pretty thrilled about it but for some reason it will automatically click off after a few minutes of playing. The power light stays on but it's like the speaker shuts off. Is it a bad speaker fuse or something?

Hmm...sounds like it's going into thermal protection. The power section might be overheating and will protect itself from a meltdown by shutting off for a bit. The power light will stay on, however.

Is there a fan? Is it running? If there's no fan, is there a heat sink that isn't getting any ventilation? How hot is the amp when it shuts off?

Either way, it sounds like the cooling mechanism isn't working as it is supposed to, so you might consider returning it for another one.
