Problem with EBS Microbass II..

Hello friends! my very first post here unfortunately is to know if there are more people like me who have or had a problem with the EBS Microbass II.
Mine produces a noise when I touch it, even with no cables in and muted.
I bought it couple months ago, never used any other AC, only the original EBS.
I'm beginner with effects and stuff, so I started with EBS because I saw Marcus Miller using EBS gear.
EBS doesn't produce good stuffs? What do u think?

I think if you brought it a couple of months ago, it still is in warranty period. Contact them, or take the pedal to the store. Usually, they reply prety fast to emails in my experience.

I used one extensively for a while, and never had a problem like this.

So the noise is coming out of the chassis? Maybe there's a hissing cockroach jammed in there that gets squished when you touch it!

you could try opening the box and see where the noise comes from.. or send it back, let them check it out if your afraid to damage it somehow (better save than sorry..)

Sorry to hear about your problem.

I've had a Microbass II as my full time preamp for about 4 years now with no problems. I also run a number of other EBS pedals and have never had a problem with them - in my experience they're bulletproof & just keep working (& sound great to my ears...). Perhaps you've got a faulty unit?

Some troubleshooting suggestions from my limited experience?
o Have you tried plugging into a different amp and/or using a different cable between the microbass & amp to eliminate the possibility of the problem being elsewhere?
o Do you get the same noise using the headphone / xlr output?
o You might also want to try running off a battery to check if it's a power supply problem.

Just my 2c worth - hope you work it out.

I was remembering something... I use it a lot to practice with background music. One day, instead of plugging the cable from the cd player in the RETURN input, I plugged it in the OUTPUT (not intentionally)... And it was working quite the same.
I just notice my mistake after hours ago.
Do u think that this could damaged something?
