Not really. I just know that your name, in reference to anything going on on TB, will guarantee a laugh out of someone. As evidenced by the post right after mine.
I am making some head way but, I'm waiting for some developments before I post anything more. Tom
IMMEDIATE ACTION is the only answer the mysterious bad-dealer can do to rectify this. Don't wait too long. I'd look right now at Small Claims Court and let him know you need a VERY QUICK deadline or you'll get a judgement against him and notify his own state Atty Gen's office of the judgement and follow their direction from there (if he's in another state).
Sorry, but something is either honorable or dishonorable. Tap dancing is unacceptable, but ripoff people depend on most people to not have the energy to follow thru and make them accountable.

To be honest; this thread has cause to make me wary of ever dealing with the OP as a buyer.
I'm not detracting from the seriousness of his situation but it seems too tentative for the situation to be made public. I don't think it was the OP's intention to publicly call out the seller but anyone reading this thread can easily click on a few links and find out who the seller is. Inadvertently or not; the OP may be dragging the sellers name through the mud while there may be a perfectly suitable explanation as to why the OP hasn't gotten his money.
I'm not familiar with UPS insurance claims but I wouldn't be all that surprised to find out that they were the ones dragging their feet. They could be retracting and saying the amp wasn't packaged well enough (was it?).
If I know the OP is going to start a thread on a public forum if and when something beyond my control goes down with a transaction then I'd think twice about dealing with him. I think the best thing to do in this case is trust the feedback system and be patient. This isn't ebay or craigslist.
