Problem with my 400RB

i have a problem with my 400rb, i thin kit may be leaving it in the car during the cold weather. Every wednesday night at my school i have jazz band, and when i put the stuff in my dad's car I usually leave it in there for 30 minutes prior and when i get to jazz band sometimes it'll just randomly not produce sound and then out of nowhere start it again, i have a feeling its the cold weather. I know its not the jack because i had that replaced last year but i think it may be the cold weather, any other possibilities?

I have read in other threads that a cracked solder joint in the head will cause it to not work when it has been cold but will work once it warms up. Taking it to a reputable repair shop should get it fixed for a basic charge.
