Problem with my bass

I was jamming then the sound output shut off. amp was still on and working. the volume on the bass was still turned up. idk what happened? when i play, no sound comes out of the amp. any suggestions?

Take off the control plate, and take a picture of the guts. We can probably figure it out from there. Also, unplug your bass and turn on the amp. Touch the end of the patch cable, is there sound? if not you have a faulty cable.

ill take a pic of the guts then. and yes there is still feedback when i touch the end of the cable. cable still works.

Battery? Blown speaker fuse on the amp (Yes mine has seperate fuses for power and speakers)?

yeah battery was my 1st thought. if it's active, obviously. dang too bad it's not the cable.

loose/broken wire/solder on the inside is way up there on my list of suspects

I had a MIM P-Bass that did the same thing. Turned out to be the volume pot.

Had the same problem about a month back. I had broken a wire between the pots inadvertently.

Bad / loose / faulty cable ?

The other thing it might be is a problem with the battery terminals or wiring for the battery. Speaking from personal experience by the way.
