I just got my SX short scale fretless bass. It plays and sounds great.
The only problem I see so far is on the back of the neck, there is a small area, about 1/2" long that is rough and raised, maybe due to imperfection on the coating put on the back of the neck.
I don't notice it when I'm playing because it is on the lower side of the neck and my palm doesn't usually come in contact with it. It's definitely noticeable when I run my palm over the area.
My question is, should I return/exchange the bass even though I don't notice the rough area when playing and maybe risk getting a bass that doesn't sound/play as well?
I know Kurt is really good with his return policy; just interested in other folks opinion.
