If you don't like it, don't buy it. What's the problem?
Another random thought. Maybe I'll just get a waterslide decal of my own signature made up and apply liberally to my gear
Instant EclecticLady signature editions!
If that's the case, OP coulda crosschecked with the scores (maybe hundreds) of previous signature bass threads. But oh well, no big deal. It’s not really a problem; it’s the need for some to cross check their opinion to make sure others feel the same way thereby providing some reassurance their opinion is correct, or at least not unique.

I'm looking forward to the day that I can suffer the humiliation of having a Jack Casady bass.
My Question is: If you are a potential Bass Superstar, should you play a signature bass? I mean if your band becomes the next big thing, you can't get your own signature bass if you are already known for playing a Geddy Lee. It is important to plan a head....
GAS!!!

I would absolutely rock a female bassist's signature model if the features appealed to me and filled a need. Obviously there have been very few so far. As for the Eva Gardner model, the aesthetics aren't too appealing to me and I've got two keeper P basses already.Kind of gets me wondering how many guys who *do* like signature editions would play one by a female bassist? - the Eva Gardner model comes to mind here.
I still kind of feel like a dancing bear sometimes - it's now how well I play, it's that I play at all that seems to surprise some people.
Julie Slick, on the other hand, rocks one of my favorite Laklands around
I don't buy sig models because you never know whats going to happen in the future.
For around 1 800 and a bit more i would buy the better bass than AC sig. Seriously.I still think the Geddy Lee jazz is the best jazz I've played - including Sadowsky and Fender. I am very glad that the "signature" is on the back of the headstock. I hate the "Sting" inlay for example.
I didn't get a Geddy because of Geddy necessary. I liked the look, I liked the neck, I liked the sound. I think the new "Adam Clayton" jazz looks nice. Not $1,800 nice.
Man, I miss my OJ Signature bass.... that thing was KILLER!Like if there was a Ray Rice signature bass? You probably wouldn't want to be seen with such a thing.![]()

Wasn't interested in the Geddy sig (big Rush fan) until I realized that the 80's Tokai Jazz Sound, that I should never have let go, was a copy of pretty much the Geddy. Early 70's, slim neck, real nice sound. I'm a happy camper
