Problems with Hartke LH1000+HDcabs

Thank you, that website its very instructive.

You're very welcome. Bob is a super cool guy. Email him and he will email you back within a day. If he's not overloaded, he will email you back very quickly. If he's very busy, it might be the next morning, but the info he offers is worth any wait. And the wait is never long. Shipping is quick, too.

I did a complete re-tube of my Marshall guitar amp with JJ tubes from Eurotubes, and he even sent me a diagram on how to set the bias.

Got to rave about the good guys, who aren't just trying to make a quick buck. Players. Bob and Larry are two of the best.

FWIW, I sent my LH1000 back to Hartke because it had intermittent, but large, volume changes for no apparent reason. They couldn't find the problem quickly, so they sent me a new one. No demands, no begging or griping. Perfectly professional. (The head was still under warranty. Less than a year old)

Sales is easy. Service after the sale is (apparently) hard for a lot of companies. NOBODY does it better than Hartke. I thought Gibson was good, and they are, but Hartke is the best, ....... by FAR! It's amazing that more companies don't realize that service should be part of their marketing strategy.

Been gigging on Hartke for decades, btw, and never had a problem with their heads, prior to this. Add this type of service, and no wonder why I have stuck with Hartke. And that's after years of playing, Fender, Vox, Marshall, Sunn, Ampeg, Acoustic, Crown, Ampeg (again), GK (in chronological order, or close).

Since I changed the Tube, my LH 1000 head works just perfect, im looking forward to see it working with another 4x10" instead of the 15". About the service; they are taking care of the blown cab, Its being sent for service, 10 out of 10 for the moment. Quite impressed with the CS, way better than other brands, like Laney, which I had issues with, theyre CS in my country sucks big time...

Interesting... I have my LH1000 with HX410 + HX115, I love the sound and the simplicity of it, but - I just don't think my unit is loud enough... :(. Playing below 6-7 doesn't make any sense in live (or rehearsal) situation, but even cranking up to 7-8(sometimes 9!) doesn't make much difference. It's just not enough juice to cut through...and everybody complains that there is not enough bass...in my bass! It makes me worry that my unit may be faulty, as I know people with same set up cutting through easy! Also I have tried my cabs with 'low end' ampegs and orange heads...- they are all louder and punchier!
There is no distorted sound or anything unusual, it is just quiet. Any suggestions please? Thanks in advance!

Willing to say the weakness issue is wide spread. I'm using a Hartke A110 combo. About 5 months ago, the volume on the amp kept shrivling up, sounded like it was on 2 on ten really. I sent it to a shop, to discover the wire to the coprocessor was fried. You may want to take a look in your bass head before any serious renovation to your rig.
