Problems with J-retro deluxe pre-amp,,any help appreciated

I wired a J-retro deluxe pre-amp to my Squier VM jazz.
I've reconnected and soldered the whole thing twice. My connections seem fine.
I get some sound ( very, very, low volume) Does anybody has any ideas before I take it in to a bass tech ?

If it's a deluxe pre, do you have the jack on the side of the bass?
