problems with kalium strings, and other string questions

ok so here the story i built from scratch a 40" scale 1 string instrument, cuz im a downtuner and i like to experiment ;)
this was the first time i made a neck, fretted a neck, and made a "guitar/bass/djentar/djentstickguitar". . . i have no idea what to call this thing xD,
but it turned out really cool, so why 40" scale and not something more reasonable like 37"? cuz i used kalium in the past and new they made strings for up to 40" scale. in fact i had an old kalium 65G string laying around that was long enough to fit on this thing and . . . . the instrument sounded really cool!.

so i ordered another string from kalium and this is where things get sad, first they didnt send a confirmation email so i emailed them like a few days later and asked for an update on the order (i still had the order number from the order page) and then a long time later, no reply. then i call their number and it doesnt work, i emailed them a second time about 3 weeks after order date, and now its bin over a month and not a peep from them about the order at all. . . the money did go through so the took my money but they didnt send the product.
there gos the one brand that makes strings with specs flexible enough for my fun inventions. cri.

have any of you who have used kalium strings had this kind of trouble with them?

at this point im looking for an alternative, i need a 55 to 65 gauge string that is at least 45" long and doesnt taper thinner at the end. do any of you know a brand & type that has specs like this?, id prefer nickelplated roundwounds but at this point i'll take what ever i can get that will fit and keep this crazy thing making music lol

There are many other threads here which chronicle the issues with Kalium never delivering product and never answering questions from customers, dating back 4+ years now. I just don't get how they can survive, which is a shame because the strings are great. I've ordered them a few times in the past (maybe 5 times) and never had an issue personally. I don't need super long scale strings so there is no reason for me to use them over any other strings which are readily available, but they are one of the easiest places to get various singles so I wish they would figure out how to fulfill orders.

DjOntyRiffs. I suggest investigating Newtone Strings – British Handmade Guitar Strings they occasionally make extreme custom strings and have a good reputation.
Another place that makes extreme length/gauge custom strings is octave4plus.com

thank you for the recommendations!, i just heard from kalium today and talked with skip over the phone he apologized for the wait and said that he had held up the order cuz he wanted to make sure i was intentionally ordering a 40" scale string cuz its a bad idea to put them on standard scale basses and stuff. i told him the specs of my wacky invention with its 40" scale and cleared it all up. he says the string will be in the mail quick and already sent me a tracking number.

anyway thank you all for your assistance! =)
i will still try to check out those other brands too, i like options ;)

Yes it is standard Kalium practice to contact the customer to confirm, if they order the 39"-40" length.

Is it also standard Kalium practice to wait for a whole month before contacting the customer to confirm?

It was for me when I tried a set a couple of years ago. The strings sounded great, like a cross between Progressives and Stainless. But if I had needed a replacement string for an upcoming gig for some reason, I would have been out of luck. I'm not going to wait two months after paying a premium compared to other strings. Now, if GHS would only finish up their run and get Progressives 2.0 released, in their new balanced configuration. When they come back, they will take a significant bite out of Kalium.
