Update: Pyramid were very helpful and were able to produce a very nice tapewound set, which I had in my hands within 2 weeks of sending them the money (around £65).

Whoa, the first tuning post is really close to the nut: now I understand why they'd initially thought they couldn't accommodate your needs. Good thing you insisted.
