Proper power-on sequence?

I did a quick search, didn't see what I needed to know.

In what order do you switch on your amp and stomp boxes to avoid a loud pop through the speakers?

I'm new to the stomp box world.

If it makes a difference, I'm using the 120V to 9V DC converter cords, no batteries, plugged into a power strip. Two stomp boxes currently.

Probably power up the amp last. That way, everything else has had a chance to stabilize.

iirc, its plug in bass -> effects -> pre -> power amp (if you have a separate on for it/its a separate unit from your pre)

opposite for shutdown

Yep- power amp last on and first off. Everything else (generally, typically) is fine in any order.
