Protest Time! Dean Edge Hammer 10-String

OK guys who wants 10-String bass cheap and available for the world to purchase............... Good, now using the power of the internet I'm starting a protest to get Dean to make the edge hammer 10-sting bass again and you can help simply vote on the poll and I'll contact dean when we get lots of votes and hope it goes well.

I've got it 'Dean Edge Hammer 10-string anniversary'

Even if it was a one off it still would work lots of people (myself included) never experienced a 10-string because of them starting after they stopped making them and theirs a massive gap in the bass market for one.

I'm a 4 strings guy so I wouldn't buy one but I'll show support for another one Did have a Rhapsody 8 for a while, though. Just couldn't find enough use for it to keep it, though.

I think a BEADG coursed bass would have a huge, fat sound and I'd be worried about neck warpage!

my 12 year old Dean 12 has no sign of neck warpage at all. It's amazing what dual truss rods and I'm assuming reinforcing bars can do.

You would have no need for worries about the neck warping on the Dean 10 string with that tuning. The neck construction is very solid.

I owned one of these ... http://www.3dentourage.com/425/10string.htm I sold it to someone here on talkbass.

First of all the neck was great ... Very playable. The pickups and electronics were cheap. If I had kept it I would have invested in new pickups and a new preamp. I did have to work on some of the upper frets a little and even though the bridge had seperate saddles for each of the 10 strings I could not get correct intonation on all 10 strings all the way up to the 24th fret.

It is a good bass for the money. If you see one for sale buy it.

Has anyone thought of approaching Kurt at Rondomusic.com or some similar maker/seller about making a 10-string? The 8-string they sold was pretty nice.

id love to have a ten string but my big problem with my schecter stiletto 8,every dean I've ever seen, the esp's and even the new spector eight string is they all use the same crappy bridge design that only allows for height adjustment of all the saddles at once witch sucks even for a four string but on an eight it's just stupid and the dam thing is sunk into a huge cavity routed into the bass so you cant even change it without major surgery.
if just one of these builders would put a Schaller bridge on their bass I'd swap my schecter in a second but no way would I buy another bass with this crappy bridge.
if I had the money id have a custom warwick streamer 10 string like the one penut from 311 has
