Punk Rock Bass Tone (Video)

So I swapped the V-mod 2 pickups out of my 2021 Fender American Professional III jazz bass with a set of Seymour Duncan SJB-3 Quarter Pound. These were what I was looking for. I am a Sansamp user and I love a lil grit in my tone. This tone is my Line 6 Helix with just the Zero Bass DI (sansamp) and the tube compressor.
I play in a 4 piece Punk/Hardcore band (Vox,Guitar,Bass,& Drums). I like a tone that cuts through with being shrill or muddy. I play with a pick on this project.

Good stuff, nice tone, I dig the P bass version of the Quarter pound pickups but nowadays I am using the SPB-2 Hot P bass pickup in my P/J but I do wonder if I should drop in an SJB-3 in the bridge position for a bit of treble bite or if I should go for the SJB-2 which is meant to be darker but very crunchy and growly sounding

@shoulderpet id try the qp. Duff mckagens bass use to have a qp jazz pickup in the bridge and fender p pickup. I think it’s give it that extra sizzle I like. Plus if solo’d it have more output.

My precision has a QP as well. I love the QP tone of the P. My biggest complaint with jazz basses was the output when I’d switch from my P or a Stingray. Now the difference is minimal.
