Nothing fancy really. I have a Dunlop 18v power adapter (I extended the cord to 10ft) for the BMC (more head room, especially after all the dirt). I also have a 9v PowerAll daisy chain for everything else. I taped both cords together so they act like a much thicker cord. Since they are ten feet long, I just leave the adapters plugged into a power strip by a wall socket, and move my board wherever it needs to go.

Total power draw from the daisy chain is less then 800mA (the PowerAll offers 2000mA, so plenty of room to spare).

My next major (more than $100) pedal board purchase will be a CIOKS DC10 or similar. I just have too many effects to continue daisy chaining. I mean, the way I have everything hooked up there is very little noise, but that's after experimenting with power hookup order. It'll be nice to have isolated power.

Saving my pennies...

Thanks for the compliments. I've sold almost everything that won't fit on one board except for my Phat Phuk which will go on a mini eventually.

The Expressionator is connected to the 2nd. Voice, Xero DLX and FrantaBit.


I haven't fired up the board yet, so I'm sure there will be some troubleshooting. I have a Rainbow Machine coming soon to replace the Noise Box; after that, I need a looper and I'm DONE! The looper and 2 exp pedals (one for the Expressionator and one for the Rainbow) will stay off board.
There's room in the PT2 hard case to store everything, which is nice.

The Grand Orbiter is awesome with dirt. I can't recommend it enough for setups like mine which use lots of harsh noise.

My only regret with this board is that I couldn't fit my LS-2. Parallel blending is so much fun and I was getting some amazing sounds blending things like the 2nd Voice with the Noisebox! There's a dude who want to swap my PT2 for his Pro, on which I could fit all the toys, but I don't feel like rewiring again.

The underside is a disaster (I'm OCD and Anal), despite hours of organization. I'd love to have my board done by someone like LASD or Trailer Trash, but I'm out of cash. The Helweg stuff is nice too! Dare to dream.

I haven't done one of these in awhile...but here is what is currently on my board. I use this in my cover band. The signal chain is:
wah>OC-2>Super Synth>Pickle Pie B>Musket>BF-2>SS2

It's a Pedaltrain Jr. wired up with George L's and powered with a PP2+ mounted under the board.

My PT-Jr almost wired up. I just need to make a few short cables (connectors in place on the top row) and a cable to connect the VP-Jr to the DMC-4 for looper level control.

The chain is:

IN -> Cubic -> WMD -> Polytope -> Nimbus -> Timeline -> micro thumpinator -> OUT to amp/DI/whatever

This is pretty much the way I intend to leave it. The WMD may get replaced by another filter at some point but right now it's the closest to the combination of sound and controls I am after.

If I really tighten up the bottom row I can get a 1590A in there, so I might work up a patchbay or bypass loop for the upper row at some point, but right now it's kind of nice to have the switches spaced out, especially the left most one on the Timeline.

Now to finish up the other board with all of my octave/fuzz/filter/bitcrush/ringmod stuff... The idea is that goes in front of this guy, with the option of just grabbing the Jr for more low key stuff that doesn't call for the loud stuff.

I velcro'd a piece of 1/8" plastic to the board and stuck the EP on that.

You'd probably like the previous version. I jammed the G50 receiver under the board.

The Ultimate drive works great on bass. It can get pretty nasty, too.

I second this question! Though I'll find out soon enough, they are too inexpensive too pass up! I'll be able to A/B it with my real OCD, perhaps knocking it off the board and funding a blend pedal of some sort!

Valid question. I wanted it pre-looper so it has to go before the Timeline. So far I am ok with the reverb -> delay rather than delay -> reverb, as far as the way I am using the delays. I can imagine a situation where you would want to reverse them though.

It's been one of these mornings...

The empty spot is reserved for a B3k! The signal path is very easy to follow: top row from right to left. The bottom row is in the LS-2 loop.

The Philosopher's Tone is new- I really like having a super squashed CS-2 sustain type effect that can be blended with my clean tone (the grit knob is alright, the treble boost/cut is pretty sweet).

Future Changes:

The Boss EQ is one those pedals I won't get rid of- BUT, I plan on replacing it with the EWS Tri Logic 2. (playing a passive Jazz)

Eventually adding the B3k!

After that- experiment with other gated fuzzes to compete with the Bit's spot, most likely an Oxide.

See if I can get an expression mod for my Multiplay to control the delay time. There's a stereo output I don't use- so there is space. Any you TalkBass elders know if/how/who to get this done?

Percussive reverb'ed drum-type string hits, looped, and reversed are prettaaayyyy good. Plain-ol' reverse delay is cool that way too.

I have no experience with the Timeline so I can only assume the Timeline does reversed looping because "everything" includes reversed looping right?

Another change: 2 pedal-weekend capping a 3-pedal week. Added the Bad Monkey and took the Bassballs out. Was in the mood for an Ibanez Bass TS, but the BM was surprise find on the Montreal Kjiji site... and the guy lives 5 minutes from my house. Not a bad pedal at all, works out for now. Next step: getting rid of the LMB-3 for a better comp, but the darn thing does its job relatively well.
