PYPB 38: When 'a few' just isn't enough...

Everything is in loop A of the LS-2 except for the Wasabi and the The RC-2. The chain in is OC-2>Blue Box>Orbit>PS-6>Gnomeratron>Mini Q-tron>Black Label Chorus>BF-2. I've been moving stuff around a lot lately and I've had it like this for about a week so it might stay like this for a while I might put the Orbit after the PS-6 again though. I can't decide.

Your board is always great eye candy.

Is the LS-2 used for clean blend?

Just got back from rehearsal. Everything's a mess! The way I like it :)

No change since volume 36. Granted that was only about a month ago. But this board is going strong with no signs of change in sight.

Of course my pedal bookcase is in constant flux lately. So that might have something to do with it.

Thanks. Yeah I use the LS-2 for cleans and a master on off switch for multiple pedals at once. I was messing with parallel loops for a little bit but I can never decide which pedals to put in each loop.

yeah, i thought about having seperate loops for diff effects, but i prefer to keep it simple. I just have all my dirt pedals in loop A and just leave it on at all times, clicking on whatever dirt when needed. (for clean blend)

No changes since the last thread. The PC2A, Submarine, and B-Drive are almost always on.

I've taken a lot of good-natured ribbing from various musicians I've been playing with over the past year or so about how many pedals I have. i.e. More than they do, or more than any bassplayer they've played with in the past. but after a 6 hour practice for a major upcoming gig (private party that has me learning 50 songs in 3 weeks), I received many sincere complements on my playing and on my tone, even running through a smaller combo amp. Felt nice to have a little additional justification for the time/$ I have sunk into my board, even though its not all that much compared to some on here. :hyper:

Here's mine, although it's changing soon. I'll be squeezing on a Barge blend pedal and I'm thinking of unloading the SFT for either a different fuzz or maybe the EQD Organizer. Signal is Bass>fuzz>BOD>Bassdrive>SFT>Carbon Copy>Tuner>BDDI (parallel out)>amp

I had a bunch of pedals that were not going on my main board, so I put them together for the cover band I am in. Then I discovered LAVA CABLES... what a difference they make. :hyper:

The expression pedal on the SA MWBD is great. I am using it to get different levels of distortoin depending on the song (ch 3 clean, ch 6 full on distortion). Another set is between distortion and distortion+octave (ch 2,5) to fill out guitar solos. The final set is set up like a submarine's tone control (ch 1 high pass filter, ch 4 low pass filter).

The Proton I love and is on there incase I end up at two different practises in one day but don't want to drag around my main board.

Fun to be had. :bassist:

I love this board. We seem to share a pretty similar taste in pedals. What are your thoughts on the B-Drive? How about the Submarine?

the B-Drive is great and I love having 2 channels. I use gain 1 for just a little break-up, and gain 2 when I need more grit and a slight volume boost. I have the fat switch and cut switch both down (bass boosted, highs cut) for a fat vintage-y sound.

The submarine gives the sound that "something". kinda hard to describe. both the PC2A and submarine fill out the low end and add some depth to my tone. The PC2A is more pillowy and the submarine is more clear and tight.

This set-up lets me go quickly from deep, clear, and tight for some songs, to a classic overdriven rock and roll tone.

fuzzes, filter, octave, and chorus are all in the looper so I can set all the pedals up for a song take them in and out all at once.

Sorry, I guess I didn't see the question in the previous thread :hiding:

I play through a Fender Bassman TV Duo Ten so I originally got the Blonde to emulate my amp during gigs where backline was supplied. We don't do those gigs so much anymore so I'm more or less using it as a "crunch" Channel for my amp in certain songs. I don't add much more gain, just bring up the high mids. It tightens up the Sublime quite nicely.
