I had a V3 for a couple weeks, and I dug the sound a lot. It can do bubbly, springy filtering or fatter darker sounds with a little tweaking. The down sweeping is great on it too, though I don't use 'down filtering' much. That said, I read reviews about folks getting lost in the live mix occasionally - presumably due to the lack of blend/volume control. I'm sure that depends on the settings you settle on as well, but I decided that I could get the same tones out of the WL with a lot more options. So I stuck with the bigger form and sold the Proton. I honestly thought it was more versatile than the JoshWah, though it doesn't have the built in grit. That said, I've got OD and Fuzz to push through filters if I need that. So it wasn't a deal-breaker...
Thanks for posting this. I may reconsider the V3. I might have to check out the Wonderlove. I really liked the Filter Twin - but, I needed a 2nd compressor just to keep everything evened out.. seemed like a waste of boardspace.
