PYPB 44: ...like Tetris with boxes, wires and cables

Main board and mini board.

Main pedals have been mostly unchanged for a few years now. All done, its all I need for my regular gigs.

The mini board was something I threw together from mostly stuff I had in the garage. I had a Nano case but not the board, so I made a wooden one to same dimensions. I use this nearly every week with a friends' band I pick-up alot of gigs with, and he's an ampless band, so this is just the basics.

The DPC5, C4 and FI are controlled by the MC6 and/or iPad with TouchOSC via WIDI Uhost.
The DPC5 is restricted to a single bank, with three presets, each activating one loop at a time. This gives me direct access to any preamp, with a single press, and I can trigger any preamp as part of a preset on the MC6, minimizing tap dancing.
Next step is to build a box that'll do what the DPC5 is doing (and little else), in a smaller format. @Sonicblaze makes some very cool MC6-sized aux switches that could be (with a fair bit of customization) made to do what I want. Just got some relay boards from MAS Effects to start the breadboarding games, and a mechanical design semi-fleshed out in Fusion. I'll probably use a QT Py Rp2040 for midi and switching (mostly cos I have one

Fyi, already ahead of you, these are about ready for a first run Rp2040 but c++ on completely custom PCB's, the FX Looper is technically 2 stereo paths with an 8x8 crosspoint matrix (mt8808) handling routing; next pcb revision will add separate LED's for tip and ring so I can make it 4 mono loops instead if desired (itll be a foot-switch settable config option). Loops are reorderable + chainable

These are 1590B enclosures; plan to do 3d printed no-footswitch models too so it'd be midi only

(Fx Injector is for moving an fx loop between 2 different places in your signal chain)

That's awesome!

In a previous iteration, I had an order switcher (red box, top center) that put the mxr reverb either in the loop of the Plus pedal, or after the delay. The loop pedal bottom center, pulled in the second channel of the C4, when I wanted phaser/filter/octave after the MBD2.

Still waiting for the Justin chancellor wah to get here… most likely going to run with mini 66, mbd1 and dist2 into jc wah then bass clone and slo reverb.

Got rid of C4 so I added the filter and Machine:

Sold Raster 2 so my delay is temporarily a Robot Factory Space Case Delay (realized I sorta need one for practice Sunday):

Currently hoping for a Zoia. We will see if the gods are kind. It is the perfect tool for my current project. Pun not intended but accepted and acknowledged.

Added some Boss to my board. Both the BF-3 and OC-3 are new. My first octave and I love it in the OC-2 mode. The BF-3 is quite similar to the BF-2, maybe a bit clearer. And I love the gate/pan mode

Updated my board a bit. The OC-3 didn't stay long. Liked it, didn't use it. And this week I changed the Kaleidoscope for a Walrus Fathom and the BF-3 for a Phase 100

Redone the wiring. Waved goodbye at the MD-500 FX loop function as it was not necessary at all and for some reason my other pedals were generating some noise when inserted into the loop. Tidied up the wiring but the underside is still a terrible mess...and I need a higher grade DI (the built-in one in the SCR-DI is noisy as hell)

Chain is Polytune > Octabvre > Phat Phuk > Doom > Fifth Gear > MERBL > Whirlwind > Oracle. Logic for boost > fuzz > OD is that boosting gain stages is more versatile than boosting volume after gain. But we'll see.

Yes. Jeff has it right and I married a wizard. The thing sounds great. I've said a million times here, but it bears repeating, that I've owned a Chromatron, Wonderlove, Microtron IV, Joshwah, and Xerograph Deluxe, and this is the filter I make room for on my board. The Chromatron has the best interface and routing of any filter of all time, but for me, it mostly comes down to tone, and this crushes.

Have you tried the FTelettronica envelope follower by any chance? I've always been curious about that one and have seen a couple of posts around here about it from time to time.

My new NYC Cases deluxe gigman board arrived and this is my first layout iteration. The giant micro synth wouldn't be a permanent member of this board. It will probably be replaced with non-EHX synth and filter pedals in the future. I still need to experiment with pedal order too, especially how fuzz and overdrive interact with the POG and Morley wah.
Hot Wax has been modified with a 4 position switch for different clipping diode options on the Crayon side. Big Muff has been modified with mids switch and tone bypass.
This pedalboard is really reppin made-in-NYC products with EHX pedals, DiMarzio cables and the NYC Case. I feel like I need to add a Tech21 pedal to complete the theme.

Been a long time since I've posted! Added the EQ2 today mostly as a level balancer switching between basses. AX300B is on envelope duties - I've managed to make a few great presets on top of the les claypool one this was a recent acquisition and kicked off my previous favorite, the Mr Black Fwonkbeta. I've tried dozens of envelope filters and really do think this old korg has some secret sauce.

saturnworks is just a true bypass loop for the AX300B that also has a momentary switch, featuring a decal of my basset hound. DMC midi controller just scrolls presets on the M5.

Back to the Nano+. I go back and forth between this and a Metro 20 that adds Octabvre, You're Doom, and a Whirlwind Phaser about weekly, but I just love the Nano+ form factor. I might end up sticking the Octabvre in place of the tuner and use a clip tuner instead, although OD and filter pretty much covers what my gig calls for anyway.

The P is new to me and I'm in love. TI Flats on a P into an Oracle is a gorgeous tone, and everything here is about 20lbs, which makes going ampless even better.
