Can anyone tell me if Queensland Maple is suitable for a bass neck? I'm going to be building neck through, with Jarrah laminates. I'm a bit confused for a few reasons:
1. Queensland Maple is claimed to be more like Mahogany than maple
2. Its used for guitar necks (so is mahogany)
3. Mahogany is not used for bass necks, but maple is...
So, does that mean Queensland Maple CAN be used for a bass, or is it too weak like mahogany?
