Question about 1x15" & 4x10" cabs.

I finally did the deed. Very happy. Went with a Mesa PH 2x10 and 1x15. So happy, the best of both worlds for recording.

210/115 is quite different than 410/115. 210/115 can be very workable, although identical 210s or 115s are generally going to perform better in a majority of circumstances. I'd happen to opt for two 210s, usually, for a "vertical" 410.

We had our first session today and the 2x10, 1x15 combo worked like a charm. Loving the pair. It's like you get a lot of lowend mojo and bigness from the 10s and clarity and mid tone from the 15. Mute out either one and the sound feels incomplete. Mute the 10s and the euphoricness goes away, mute the 15 and player disappears some. Great together in the studio.

For a hardrock setup, you could use the advise from Billy Sheehan:

Split your sound: the lows through a 410, the mids and highs through a 115.
You'll need 2 amps.
In the example of Billy Sheehan, he uses two Hartke amp.
You could also use an Ampeg 4 Pro.
