I've seen this amp, a Crate BT220 Bass Combo, that they're selling for $199.99 on the Musician's Friend website. What gives? This seems cheap for a 220w amp. Is this a bargain or some cheap crap they're trying to unload?

Question about a bass amp.

Not a bad price, not a great amp. But, might be perfect for a starter amp. I think you can add an ext. spkr to those, making a large, loud rig.
I agree with RickenBoogie. It will probably serve you well in minimal conditions, but don't expect too much out of it. I looked at that amp but passed because I really wanted a head and 4x10 cab.
