Question about DC Power Brick

I have a DC Brick and have a really simple question for all you guys that understand the electronics component of gear.

The seven 9v ports have 375 mA available to them.

Lets say I have all 7 port occupied, but the combined draw of all the pedals is 400mA.

Now obviously... or maybe now so obviously I won't have all of the pedals on at once, the most draw I would have at any one time is about 205mA. Is it ok to have it all hooked up like this as long as the pedals I am using at any given moment don't exceed 375mA or even when they are off should they not exceed 375mA?
 
They aren't isolated outputs so I am assuming that each output doesn't have a specific number assigned to them.

I was just very curious as to the main concern of mA with pedals active, or if the mA is taken up just by plugging them in.
 
Even when a pedal is 'off' it is still on. It may not be drawing the same current at all times, but it is still working. You can't assume what the current will be based on the pedal being on or off (unless you disconnect power from the pedal, which I would consider unlikely :p:ninja:).

That said, you keep the current below 375, it's all good, however you manage it.
