Question About Fender Gig Bag

Can anyone here clue me in whether a left handed Fender Jazz will fit into a Fender gig bag?

I checked out Fender's product page and there was nothing about orientation under the product specifications.

The details are : Fender FB405 Electric Bass Gig Bag Model Number: 0991322406

Thanks in advance folks.

Seems like it would, but with that little raised section at the top, it’s hard to say. Best thing to do is call a guitar shop and ask them to throw a lefty jazz in one and see how it fits. Otherwise, you can just put it in backwards.

Personally, I’d get a Gator bag with a little more padding. They’re around the same price. Those basic Fender bags don’t do much to protect your bass.

I think you need to be more specific about which Fender gig bag you’re talking about.
I have some old Fender bags that are very symmetrical and would fit either right or left handed instruments the same.
I’m not sure if there are new ones that are not symmetrical, but that could make a difference.

I would absolutely think so. Don’t worry too much about the top being asymmetrical, that’s more of a visual feature, and doesn’t really affect anything. If it can take a right-handed Jazz, a left-handed one should present no problems. The reason orientation is not mentioned in the specs is probably that it’s not an issue.
