Question about repairing the finish on a bass.

Have an older bass that has some of the paint coming of of it. Its the very top thin layer(similar to tint on a window) that is peeling off.....I can see the wood underneath. Is their anyway to repair this or paint over? Or should I just throw WOW sticker on top of it an be done with it?

I suggest you do some searching on TB - especially in the Hardware, Setup & Repair forum. There is also good information about refinishing at reranch.com.

Short answer: there's no turning back. "Painting" is called refinishing, and it's usually a job on the entire body. Most practical thing is to take care of it as best you can, and play it.
