Double Bass Question about Tuff-Bag dimensions

I’m considering a Tuff-Bag and I have a question about fitting my bass in the bag. I have an older Upton Medio Fino 3/4 bass (the one imported from Romania). According to the sizing on the String Emporium website, all the bag dimensions seem to be ok with two exceptions.

According to Upton, the lower bout is 26.75” (I measured 27”). String Emporium lists the 3/4 bag dimension as 25" - 26". Is this a firm limit or is there some forgiveness in the bag sizing that can handle the extra inch?

The other exception is the depth from the top of the bridge to the back, which I measure to be 17.5” although this is a tough measurement to get precisely. This is the upper limit of the case dimensions, so I'm less worried about it but I'd rather not have the bag pressing down tightly on the bridge.

My question is there enough tolerance in the bag to accommodate these dimensions? Has anyone already put an Upton Medio Fino in the Tuff-Bag? I've emailed String Emporium and am awaiting a reply, but I'm impatient and I thought I'd survey the collective wisdom here instead of practicing.

Thanks, Ron

Thanks for the inputs. I went ahead and took a chance and I’m happy to report that my bass fits. I wouldn’t want to try any larger bass in there though, it's snug. It’s a nice bag.

It does zip on the G string side (opposite from my old bag) so I get to learn a new dance to put the bag on the bass.
