Question does anyone use a foldable wagon to transport equipment

Just asking…

Having some gigs lately where I have had to carry my gear up to a couple of blocks.

Not convenient, since these have mainly been in duo situation and one of us had to stay with equipment while the other made several trips.

I will mainly be transporting my bass amp(20 lbs) and speaker (45lbs) cable bag (50lbs), guitar amp 25lbs, PA amps (25lbs) and speakers 2x (20lbs) and 2x (40lbs), speaker stands, microphone stands and bass and guitar.

The equipment in comparatively light weight but again the trips it takes to move it prompt me to want a simpler solution.

1st has anyone used anything like this cart- I am just referencing a picture not necessarily this model and yes this would still involve more than one trip for the equipment described

I am also considering something like the Rock n Roller
Rock N Roller R11G All-Terrain 8-in-1 Multi-Cart with Ground Glider Casters

I would rather buy this product only once and get the best solution.

Thank you for your responses in advance.

I have the RocknRoller R8.

I used it a few times, and it allowed me to take only one or two trips from the car to the stage. The only problem with it, is that it's big and takes up some room, even when it's folded up. It is strong though, and can carry like 500 pounds. I think it extends to about 6 feet or so? Pretty flexible.

Sure, a Rocknroller like above, and then small roadcases on wheels(I pile stuff on top, then place cabs on them later). I don’t think I’d go with that wagon, can’t see it taking the rough and tumble.

Thanks Mapleglow.

That’s the way I am leaning.

Thank you Michedelic… I think you’re right about the durability.
One thing to consider…the RnR brand has a design quirk, I call it a flaw. In order to fold it flat(and to subsequently pop up the front and back), you have to push down on a little cable so they snap in and out of position. Very awkward, unergonomic, and frustrating especially when you’re in a hurry. Why they couldn’t have gone with a spring loaded metal nipple that is found on many other similar items is beyond me.
On-Stage has their own version, kind of a knock-off, but the design looks to be more straightforward. Having not actually worked with one, I can’t attest to the ease and durability(my RnR has been to hell and back but it keeps on going), but it looks like a feasible alternative, perhaps a better idea. They’re on Reverb.

RnR cart holds 500lb and extends to over 4'. It is compact folded and steady fully loaded. I have used mine for over 10 years without problem. Turn your current loading hassle into any easy single trip with the cart.

The cable design complaint above has never been an issue for me. Appreciating how it works, its easy to use and reliable in my experience.

Yes, I love mine, it's much more handy than a cart because I can put stands in it and they don't fall off the sides. My husband loves to bring his Rock N Roller cart to gigs and I freaking hate that thing. I swear he just insists on using it because he paid for it and it seems like a cool thing to have, but it's not really very user friendly. He is forever worrying about things falling off it.

The wagon is plenty durable for the gear I have and I've been using it for years.

There is an extended version of this wagon too, if you need something with a bit more room.

I've abused an original RnR R8RT with two inflatable tires for 19 years. I've had to re-tube/tire it twice; Still prefer them to the current solid ones - much smoother over rough surfaces.

Cart itself has been bullet proof.

Thank you Pocket Dave.

That picture looks a lot like my equipment… I might still need to do to loads but that would be a huge benefit.

Thank you LBS-Bass. I value your opinions.

Having something to secure the smaller stuff helps.
