Question For Bass Players With Many Basses

I use the same brand (ghs infinity steels 102-40) on all my basses. I am up to around 80 at this time.

Sometimes I use the same/brand model strings on multiple basses, but never on all of them.
It's best to put flats if you don't like dead rounds. To me dead rounds sometimes sound amazing.
I have brands/models that I like more or less but rarely have them on one bass for years unless I've tried a lot of strings and am convinced there is nothing to be gained by further experimenting.
I cannot prefer flats/rounds since I find strings differ a lot from model to model.
For example TI and La Bella flats sound so different to me that most of the basses I've tried obviously sound better with one or the other to my ears.

At first, I mostly used on my bass ukes, black Road Toad Pahoehoe poly strings, and one with creme Aquila Thundergut poly. For the junior guitar magnetic pickup to bass conversions, I use mostly Gold Tone/La Bella MBLS 25" flatwound, one with black tape wound flats. Over the last few years I've found that the poly strings take to long to settle in and they get too sticky in humid weather, so with the release of the Kala/Galli flatwound 20.5 and 23" flatwound, I'm replacing all the poly with those. So yes, I use the same strings for most of my basses.

I believe I saw one family of all blue Jazz basses, @TBird1958 has multiple Birds.
Some families are diverse like mine which includes SS, MS, and LS.

I don’t have any duplicate model basses in my collection,
nor have I used the same brand/model strings on more than one.
There’s no philosophy behind this it’s just how it happened.

Strings are expensive and also harder to find now days,
So my questions are:

1. Do you use the same brand/model strings on multiple basses?
2. Do you think it best to put flats on basses you only play every now and then?
3. Do you find a brand/model that you like and stick with them for years?
4. And of course, the controversial question, do you prefer flats, rounds or both depending on the bass?

1...I bought a case of strings, so until they're gone, I get one brand...
2...depending on the band, songs played, rounds would be mostly used, but flats on the right bass, say a fretless, would be handy, given the right tune...
3...I'm gonna say I'll pro'lly have my TBird and P/J clone for..."it"...
...and finally #4...yes... they both have their uses...
