Question for the Double P owners

IMO - as close together as possible, to minimize the phase cancellation that thins things out.

On my first double-P, I added a true neck pickup:

It's pretty cool sounding, but the "softness" of the lows in that neck position steal some of the punch of the bass.

Next time, I'm going to use the existing rout for 1/2 of the resulting placements, as shown by the blue rectangles in this picture:

If you have a double p bass with the neck split p pickup in the correct position, how far away is the bridge split p (when measured from a like point on the neck pickup). I'm thinking about making one, but I'm not sure where exactly to place the bridge pickup :D
