So I have a Markbass CMD102P and I'm planning on getting a Markbass Standard 102HF at some point. I want to get a cover to keep the little pricey beasties protected and looking their best whether they are in my storage room between gigs, in the back of my truck on the way to a gig, or being carried in/out of a bar for a gig (probably in the rain, of course). I would really like something that protects the carpeting on the bottom too.
Does anyone have experience with the Markbass brand covers ($80 @ GC)? I can't tell if they are open on the bottom, open but held on with a strap, or clamshell. I am guess the rule "when in doubt, assume they made the cheapest to make option" would be in effect, which would mean open on the bottom. But does anyone actually know?
I also looked around webwise, the 2 nicest I saw were:
StudioSlips which at $135 is steep but it fully encloses the box which is nice.
D2F covers which at $80 makes me think they just drop over the top and don't cover the bottom.
Any other options? Or should I stick with the giant lawn and leaf bag I am currently using?
