question on crescent basses

for some reason im looking for a new bass (im tryin not to get into the habit of buyin a lot of equipment ) and its prolly gonna be a back up for gigs, and i was wondering how crescent basses would work. i found some on ebay and became interested. I tried doin some research on them, but information was difficult to find. any of you kno what theyre like?

my best friend had one and he got slivers in his hands do you really want slivers from an unfinished neck. buy a Epiphone, Ibanez, Squier or SX not some cheap chinese piece of garbage from hell.
