I have a Seymour Duncan QP P pickup and the wire connecting the two pieces came loose (I've included a pic). Is this something I can just quickly solder back on to the same spot (that silver little bump)? Any precautions I need to take? Thanks!
Quick solder repair just as you mentioned. Nice clean solder tip. Tin the wire after you strip it to make it easier to attach and just use enough heat to melt the solder on the pickup to make the attachment. You don't want to saturate it with heat.
That should be easy to repair. There are much worse pickup wire fails that are a pain to fix. Just solder that wire to the blob, and you should be good.
