Hey, feel free to answer these questions:

Which pedagogical text (method books, instructional treatises, etc.) had a significant impact on the performance of the double bass?

Are their any contemporary composers that write solo music/pedagogical text for the double bass?

I'm just consulting the good ol' folks at talkbass for information to use in my research paper for my music literature class.
