questions on my new ESP LTD B-5E NS

Just like the title says I have a couple of questions about my new ESP LTD B-5E NS so I will just get right to it.
Q1: when i pluck the a or d string there is a ringing kind of sound from either the pickup or the bridge that can be heard without it being plugged in and the pickups do send the sound to the amp, it is not a buzz or a hum and i never noticed with my old bass guitar. i was wondering if this was normal or if it could mean something is wrong.
Q2: I wanted to know without having to do trial and error if a .130 gauge b string would fit in the body through farrel hole and peg
Q3: I've been reading up on what it would do to the satin finish if I put a coat of spray polish on and from what i have seen on other threads the end result seems to be based on how the manufacturer created the satin finish. So I was wondering if anyone knew how my bass would look if i used some spray polish, would it actually shine it up? would it possibly become blotchy or anything else that would actually ruin the look?

If anyone has answers to these 3 questions I'd appreciate any info, thanks.

I can answer #3 , I buffed my B-4E with the stuff pictured & a couple Micro fiber cloth's ,worked really well with lots and lots of elbow grease you can buff it to a semi-gloss in a few hours ,( really brings up the wood grain),I did mine over a couple days and also took the knobs off and the tuners off the head stock so I could get around the holes perfect . I did mine because whenever you touch it the most it will get shiny there ,I wanted it to blend with those area's better. I'm very happy will the out come.

I have the #1 issue except, it's the A string. did you figure out what was the cause of it?

what strings came with yours? What's the gauge for the low B?

I don't own the B-5, but IME owning a D-6 (neck thru and string thru body) few years ago, mine came with SIT Strings Nickel and IIRC it was .125 low B and .100 E. Since they didn't intonate quite well at higher frets, even after I did the intonation setup properly, so I swapped them with Fender Nickel strings with tapered .130 low B and tapered .110 E. These two fitted the thru body ferrule just fine and they intonated well at higher frets (after redone the intonation setup). Also there was no problem at nut fitting the .110 E.
