Double Bass Questions regarding sound for live performance

But for mid 80's it was a very decent setup. I've been looking at the "Gollihur Series" Acoustic Array Pro which is, as I understand....... I'm looking for something that can handle fiddle, tenor banjo, octave mandolin, bouzouki, baritone guitar and bass and that would probably fit the bill.

By all accounts it would fit the bill for what you’re doing acoustically. Not sure how it would handle a baritone guitar, unless it’s a acoustic baritone guitar. Although I love the control layout and EQ setup of the Gollihur on paper, at 150 watts it would only work for me with additional FOH support. Just my take however. I’m generally working with a percussionist, so 150 is below my bare minimum for a DB amp.

Update:

Service was tonight.

I used the clip on mic and did not have a wedge in front of me.

No feedback, and despite having a drum amp on one side and an acoustic guitar going into a wedge next to me, I could hear myself well between the bass itself and the wash from elsewhere.

I could tell as soon as they turned on my channel because the bass sounded the same, yet more profound.

Keys made it a point to create sonic space for me, and I was told the bass sounded great.

Thanks to everyone for their help and advice. I’m also so happy that the mic worked.

Oh, and the person on sound was the teenage son of the guy who normally runs sound. I heard from a guitarist friend who attended that the service was well mixed.
