Me neither, but a browse through the excellent Quilter website makes me want a BB-802. I was also totally ignorant of the QSC link. Thanks for this.
I had no idea Quilter existed before the BB-800.
Near where I live. Wonder if they have a showroom.
Pat Quilter can play “Sleep Walk” on slide guitar better than anyone. He used to demonstrate this to crowds at the NAMM Show every year.
They are almost across the street from GC Fountain Valley on Euclid .

I was just trying to get him in the ballpark .
Pat does ok with Sleepwalk, but he probably would be the first to admit that lap steel is a hobby and amp designing is his strong suit. He is a quirky guy - let's just say the wizard costume isn't entirely out of character. I used to live near him, and he bought the house next door to his to house his classic car collection - as opposed to renting a warehouse space somewhere which would probably have been the practical thing to do. He also placed a large glass orb on a turret at the top of his house, which I'm sure the neighbors found.. interesting.
Quilter’s approach to bass amps really makes you consider what’s essential. Very simple controls, loads of power, built in limiters that keep it sounding great at any volume, plays well with external preamps and pedals, reasonable price point, sounds great with acoustic and electric instruments, and the amps are made in California. Very much the type of gear that you don’t have to think about.
I had a BB800 at the same time as a Shaw B150. The Quilter absolutely nailed the CLEAN tube tone, and had unreal headroom (This was through an 810 sealed or a barefaced 410.) The limited is genius, and can mimic the feel of a bit of tube sag and compression. I may have to pick up a v803 at some point. As seen at NAMM ‘24

My understanding is that the Bass Block series was designed to sound and behave like tube amps.
