Quotations you remember

A military buddy of mine admiring somebody's boat: "If I had that boat, and that dude had a feather up his ass, we'd both be tickled..."
Your buddy must have known my dad. He’s full of pithy wit. In no particular order, here’s my top four.

“I can stand on my head whistling Dixie while hot lead is poured in my ass, as long as I know it’s temporary.”

“Where I come from we whip one another's ass.”

“There are two kinds of people in the world. Those who handle their problems and those whose problems handle them.”

“what’s the matter son? Your sportin blood turn to piss?”

there’s more, but that’s enough for now. :D

Another one that your dad's first quote reminded me of:

In the military, we'd often ask each other, "How much more time ya' got?". We were referring to either time left prior to discharge, or time left before going back to "The World" from Vietnam.

If the dude said, "Six more months", I'd reply, "Well hell, I could hold my fist up a bears' ass for 6 months!" :D
