C'mon guys.
Everyone knows Saturday is where it's at.
lol so who laughs in the end? I would be glad to allow everyone in the world to laugh at me for the month that this song will be in circulation if that means a few million people buy the track. I'll bet she (or most likely her parents) will make a million off the song. I could live with that. People will buy the track so they can laugh for maybe another month beyond that but then lady gaga will wear something weird, katy perry will get some rapper do a verse on a track, or Ke$ha will continue to be drunk, and everyone's attention is shifted and nobody will remember a thing about this song. That's the beauty of novelty--it has a very short attention span. This is disposable pop music, just like Beiber, just like Ke$ha, just like the people all through the 50s-80s who had a hit or two with names we don't remember.
I only wish I could break into that industry--put together a cheesy pop song, make a million or two and disappear. I'd love to profit off people laughing at me for looking like an idiot--i seem to excel at it doing it for free!

I would agree this is not the end of music. For every dud that makes the spotlight there are millions of unsung heroes. I posted this earlier with one reply but I think is kid is the perfect antidote to Miss Black.

Looks like she is going to be even richer... is that a flat screen TV I see in the back of her room?![]()
Looks like a door to me.
I'm looking at the back left with, what I think is, a LED light button thingy.
Looks like a door to a bathroom with a radio in it to me. Doesn't make a lot of sense to put a big screen TV there, when the bed is right next to it.
I actually dont understand the great anger from alot of ppl, esp. about her lyrics. The girl is 13. Shes not gonna sing about her feelings hurt in a blues club or getting left at the altar. I dont think grown 30 something and up males are who this is targeted to as well. Everything that comes out is not gonna be Weather Report or Miles. I dont care for the song, but I'd rather my daughter sing something like this thats harmless than "Put it in Your Mouth". *kanyeshrugs*

Wow, 8 pages and no one has mentioned how folks are up in arms because of the so-called cyber-bullying resulting from this video. Where is your sense of feel-goodery, TBOT?
Let's fast forward to when Ms. Black is in her late 30s, is fat and frumpy-looking, waiting in line at the Post Office with several ill-behaved children in tow. She steps up to the counter, and the clerk recognizes her name, and starts singing this monstrosity back at her.
"FRIDAY! FRIDAY! FRIDAY! FRIDAY!" like the klaxon alarm on a WWII submarine.
Imagine her shame then...
How did this make it 9 pages?
This is seriously a weak thread - SXSW ended on Sunday and it was another totally insane display of the most aggressive, imaginable, inspirational, and riveting musical acts to join in one city. Common guy's, get off your couches and put down the laptop long enough to be part of something influential.

Tell me about it, would have been great to be there.
Unfortunately, several thousand kilometers and dollars seperate us![]()
