R.I.P Zoom

Several years ago I bought a terrible tuner pedal which i returned after 1/2 a use. No refund so the zoom was the same price and came with a tuner, done. Never really trusted any of the effects and ended up sidelining it because it also just looked funny and not very tuff on a stage. A few years later pulled it out in a pinch, on some downtime fiddled with it and made it sound like a heard of buffalo loose in a packed stadium. I take it everywhere now.
Bought one over a year ago DOA for $15. Previous poster is right about now being stage durable. One of the jack connections was busted....a little soldering and I had me a functional pedal. You might want to check that.

Mine is dying the same way can I ask what to look for to fix it? I took it to my local shop and he told me to just throw it away lol I love the sampler and the drum machine is great for practice
Mine has been retired for years, living in a place of honor in the gear museum. Time to get a new Zoom!
Sorry about your lost. it's a major drag that your zoom processor has malfunctioned. there are new zoom processors available. check out the zoom b2 and the zoom b2.1u. they sound awesome. I have a zoom b2.1u and it sounded pretty cool. I have sound samples of the zoom b2.1u on my soundclick website. here's the link.

I morn with you sir. My Zoom is dying too. I've got a full pedal board, but have always used the zoom with headphones late at night. I've had a lot of fun nights with that thing.
it started a while ago. its a multi effect so i could switch sounds in a flash but three or four weeks ago i started needing to hit both buttons as if i was bypassing it. that didnt bother me at all. in fact i thought that was pretty cool cuz i could sound surf before actually switching sounds. but one day i was playing in mass and the pedal was on but there was no sound. that problem went away though. and then it started resetting itself. i would be playing with the f3 setting or just tuning my bass and it would shutdown and restart with a1. what sucks the most is that it was never a battery problem.

right now i have the Zoom, a Crybaby Bass and a Swollen Pickle.
Bummer, My fave Zoom for bass remains the 2000B for its overdrive and ring mod. I currently have the B9.iut which is very good and better in some ways. But Id love to still have my 2000B which unfortunately died and got replaced with the B9.1ut.
You can contact zoom to get price idea for fix for out of warranty service. But cost could reach up there making getting new one just a little more and more attractive overall.

I had/have a 506. 1st pedal ever bought.

Don't know where abouts you're from, but there is one on UK ebay at the moment, only a few hours to go, sitting at £20.

I've got a 708 II, that granted, doesn't get used much, and I'm pretty sure the wah pedal bit on it's gubbed. But it's still fun for when I need to bring some wierd noises to the stage!
