    Hope someone can help.

I'm an old hand at the low end of things, but new to the effects world, and my current working situation calls for some sweeting and fattening of my bass presence. We're adding some old skool funk and disco stuff and my mind immediately went to that old Mutron sound. That would be cool to have available, and I tried a Digitech syth wah pedal, but it's pretty lame.

While I'm at it, I'd like to have a nice chorus, some phase maybe, perhaps some nice natural analog synth for solos--who knows what else. I think it's possible to teach old dogs new tricks--I've learned a few lately.

Guitar players have all these nice rack mount gizmos that they can program at home (when they aren't wanking) and control with a nifty little foot pedal with digital displays and lots of cool buttons with LEDs.

Do any of y'all out there know of anything like that for bass?
Any advice would be highly appreciated.

Thanks, fellow keepers of the bottom end.

^ do you mean a midi foot controller??

those are expensive... http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/...ion-All-Access-LTD-Foot-Controller?sku=480975 this is just a foot controller with presets that has midi in,out, thru from a rack multi-fx unit (like G-Major).

    Maybe you're thinking a multi-fx pedal? http://bass-guitars.musiciansfriend...300-Bass-Floor-Multi-Effects-Pedal?sku=154003
Is something like this what you're thinking of? if so, look into Boss too http://bass-guitars.musiciansfriend...0B-Bass-Multiple-Effects-with-COSM?sku=151433 , http://bass-guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Boss-GT10B-MultiEffects-Pedal?sku=151134

if it's midi you want check out the behringer fcb1010.

I haven't tried it out but I've heard really good things about it, despite the fact that most people can't stand behringer at all. Of course you'll still need some other audio interface and software if you're running it to your computer or a hardware synth if you'd rather do that instead. I don't have a ton of experience with midi on bass though. Maybe someone with more experience can chime in.

let me repost, if you're searching for an analog synth, i'd definitely look into Moog effects... the low-pass, bass murf, ring modulater, ETC!!

    moogerfoogers are awesome!!! http://www.moogmusic.com/moogerfooger/?
