Rackmount Powered Mixer

Howdy.

I have a 60s theme band.. we really don't need a ton of power as we're vocal based and play to more adult crowds (geezers)

I have an opportunity to buy a 500 watt mixer head.. it will handle our 4 ohm per side.. has onboard effects..

I'm trying to reduce my weight and gear count... would make it possible just to need/use another power amp and rack mixer.. fewer pieces.

Does anyone use this?

Thought is to only drive monitors with the onboard 500 (total)..

I have a power amp to run mains..

We've run outdoor gigs with plenty of volume at 400 watts and the same efficeint cabs.

Guess the question is if the all in one units are too good to be true.. I'm so used to having zillions of rackmount gizmos..
