After trying Reese's peanut butter cups for the first time, I am now in LOVE with peanuts. I thought I'd put this in Off Topic for the lulz. Now tell me...which nuts do you go nuts for...?

Of those I like peanuts OK but prefer almonds. But there are others I like better.

Well, strictly speaking peanuts are not nuts - but they work very well with chocolate and peanut butter tastes a lot better to me than any nut butter I've tasted. As for real nuts, for a partnership with chocolate it's tough to beat a hazelnut. Brazil nuts are also a favourite (with or without chocolate).

All of the above. I like just about all nuts except for pecans. You can have them beggars.
Nuts are one of the best things for your health out there.

You never had peanuts before trying Reese's peanut butter cups?

Peanuts are good, but cashews are better.

There was (still is?) a Planter's Peanut store on the boardwalk in Atlantic City, NJ. If you walked in there, you could not walk out without a bag of nuts of some type or other.

Then there was the Mr. Peanut walking around outside the front of the store, who liked to find customers who were stoned and walk around with them. Not sure how he knew.

True. They're actually closer relatives to peas than to nuts.

Back on topic, peanuts are OK, but to me they're pretty bland. I find almonds much more flavorful.

I don't like almonds because the ground up bits get stuck between my lips/cheeks (giggity!) and my gums. Not comfortable. Peanuts have too much starch, and I don't like hazelnuts. So I go with macadamias.

Tough question though. It all depends on the setting for me. If I'm at a ballgame or a party, peanuts for sure.

If I am packing a healthy snack to have on the road with me, almonds, most def.

But Nutella is AWESOME, which is made from hazelnuts. (That stuff on apples is just yummy. And I don't use the word yummy very often.)

To help with the survey though I'm gonna have to go with a bag of fresh roasted peanuts at Fenway Park.
