Rapper's Delight tutorial with tabs and track

The baseline is not a sample...it was re-recorded by my good friend, Chip Shearin.look him up when u have time

I too seem to remember hearing that the sugarhill line is not a straight rip off the recording.
They changed one note I think.
The turnaround on the rappers delight version seems to be on g rather than what I hear as f# on the original.(Very last note of the groove...)

Its pretty much the same bassline as the original.they meant to rip it off on purpose.they weren't trying to be slick.direct homage to the original line.if he played a note or 2 different, it was just Chip misinterpreting it than trying to hide it.

It actually slides from F# to G on the turnaround
