Wow, that neck is just heartbreaking! It looks like the strings are completely flush against the bottom of the neck pickup cover. Curious to see what the pics he sends to Tom show.

RARE Fender 61 Double Stack

Good luck. I saw this one posted on the Fender forum a couple months ago. A couple people tried to get more out of him, but he was pretty unresponsive.
I am a commercial photographer. Most cameras are prone to some degree of linear distortion, meaning straight lines can appear bowed. Have him lay a straight edge on the fretboard and shoot it again.
Correct. It's just too hard to tell.
