RARE Fender 61 Double Stack

Hey guys.

I was browsing on ebay, when I came across this:

Super Rare 1961 Fender Jazz Bass Electric Guitar

It says it's a 1961 Jazz with the Double Stack control panel. First off, I believe this is 100% real, without a doubt. But what broke my heart is the neck on that thing. I just cannot get over how warped it is. You guys might not feel as bad as I do by looking at that thing, but man did my heart sink. :crying:

I hope the seller comes to his senses, and realizes that EVEN WITH the Double Stacks, that thing ain't gonna be sold for $17,000. :rollno:

Is it the seller's stupidity or is there something I'm missing here?

phew. Good to get that off my chest.

If the quality of the bass is equal to the quality of the pics, well...alrighty then.

Anyone asking that sort of price really needs to have much better, and much more complete photos, with neck and neck pocket dates clearly shown, pickups, pots, all that stuff, all clearly pictured.

"Only used twice"

Is it just me, or this massive upper contour wear somewhat contradictory to that statement?

Or maybe its just me?

But last time i checked, even on Nitro basses, who removes tons and tons of finishes by "using it twice"?

But hey, define using..... ;)

I have a guitar thats only a few years older than this. It wasn't played much but a lot of the finish has flaked off just from being old. When you play it, you'll get little white bits of paint on your clothes.
