Rastop Distortion EQ alternatives

Hi guys,

I've been using a Rastop Distortion EQ (Rastop guitar effects) for years.
This pedal has remained on my board for a long time after kicking off the EHX English Muff'n (with extra low end mod). Several overdrives and distortions have passed, including a Way Huge Pork Loin and a Darkglass B3K, but this one remained.
I've been told it's similar to a tubescreamer circuit, but there's a clean signal with 3 band eq in parallel (I enjoy being able to boost the lows and mids a bit in parallel to the dist). There are two volumes, one for clean with eq and one for dist.
Now I would maybe like to try something else, possibly a bit smaller, with a bit more headroom and not AC powered (I have the Rastop running on 12V AC).
I play a MM Stingray, run a VT Bass DI before the Rastop and other pedals after it, so would be good if the new pedal played nice with those as well.

Any suggestions?

Judging from the sound samples on the website, a tech 21 leeds pedal would be a good choice for if you want a new pedal that sounds similar to the rastop distortion eq. if you want to try something new and something more compact-sized, check out the idiot box blower box or the dod boneshaker. the empress multidrive and heavy are another good choice for a new distortion pedal to try out. they're kinda pricey, but they have great sound quality.

Good suggestions, came across the EBS Billy Sheehan sig as well, which seems like a valid option with the parallel loops. But Bongo isn't so happy about the mid scoop (EBS Billy Sheehan Signature Drive), and I tend to like my mids to be pronounced.

If mids are a concern, you might like to try out the dod boneshaker. it's a thick heavy distortion with a flexible eq.
