Rate my bass mod list

I threw together a list as my first comprehensive bass mod project, the main gimmick is that I plan to wire it so that the push/pull on the vol pot disables the "neck" coil and allows me to get a single bridge coil sound when needed. What are your thoughts on the list as it stands now?

Bass: MMCP-B Black Music Man Style Bass Control Plate Black | Reverb ($350)

Pickup: 90’s Music Man Ceramic 4 String Pickup | Seymour Duncan ($120)

Preamp: StingRay RAY4 Bass Guitar - Ruby Red Burst Satin | Sweetwater ($140)

Push/pull: CTS Push-pull Pots, DPDT - StewMac ($10)

Control plate: Aguilar OBP-1TK 2-band Boost Onboard Bass Preamp ($30)

Tuners: Fender® Style Elephant Ear Tuners Black-N17 ($40)

String retainer: Bass String Retainer ($20)

Bridge: Classic Musicman Style Bass Black Bridge Replacement 4-strin ($25)

Knobs: Dome Knob - StewMac ($5)

I’d give it a 1/1. Maybe it’ll be perfect for you. I hope so.

I have an SBMM with a Nordstrand quad coil pickup in it and a 3-way switch for series/parallel/split-single. The parallel and single modes are significantly quieter than series. It still sounds great, so I compensate with my volume knob, keeping it turned down a little so series is around the same as parallel when I turn the volume up.

Add some shielding paint or tape to the list so you can eliminate any potential noise.

Those tuners are terrible. I have them on an OLP bass. They’re heavy and feel “gritty.” They stay in tune OK, but they just aren’t good quality.If you’re going to pay $20 for a string retainer, actually upgrade the tuners with some Hipshot or Gotoh.

Good idea with the shielding paint/tape and upgrading the tuners. I'd like to get a higher end bridge too but honestly they're arent too many options that will work with the screw placements on music men

These are on the pricier side but I might have to with these HB1 Bass Tuning Machine

Keep an eye out for used parts, too. Most of my parts builds have been a combo of new and used elements.

You are buying a new preamp, and a new control plate, so why not a 3 band preamp?
