RATE MY SETUP

Hi guys!

Wanted to share with you my new setup, a brand new Ibanes SR605E and a more complete pedalboard (at the begining I just used the BOSS GT-1B), added a tuner to allow me to use both external switches for effects on the Multi FX (also the Polytune is WAY more precise), and a DI just in case it comes handy. All is cabled through a pathbay to centralice all conections. There is no power supply since the AC adaptor from the BOSS GT1B can handle both the unit and the tuner. And finally some metallic cases for extra batteries, ear plugs, picks and my in-ears. Maybe in some years I´ll make something smaller like an HX Stopm with a Comp and Pre/DI, but I wanted to use what I already had. All of this is amplified with a Fender Rumble 500.

Overall I´m really happy for my first pedalboard and use it most of the time at church with some ambient effects or organ-like sounds.

Any coments are welcome! :)

Another boss gx-10 user here with my 2 cents. If it sounds good it is good. As long as you can dial in the tones you are looking for and are happy with your setup that's all that really matters. Love those SRs just wish they were wider at the nut. Cheers!

OK I LOVE the use of a sunglasses case and Altoid box on the pedal board! I am always losing earplugs, 9v batteries, headphone adapters, picks, etc. And even if they are in my guitar case or pedal board box, they are often not accessible from where I am set up by the time I need them. I am definitely going to do this, Thank you! I even have a glasses case that says BOSS. (the same name is also an eyeglass designer)

Oh yeah, the gear is cool too :)

The SR is beautiful. If the pedals all interface well together then you have a winning combination. If you’re adverse to spending a lot of money don’t go down the pedal rabbit hole and buy everything like I have. I’ve been through almost all of them for bass and every time I refigure my signal chain I take more away. I went from blending preamps and eqs to pretty much either 1 or 2 pedals at a time. I still alternate but I know I have more stuff than I need.
