If I had that much empty space on my board, I'd for sure be looking for a smaller one. I hate how big my board is.

I was thinking "What's with all the empty real estate??? You could get at least another half-dozen pedals on that bad boy."

I assume you mean the stomp switch toppers? If so, they're pretty easy to come by in various shapes and sizes, but here are the ones OP used:

Very impressive! During the30 years playing gigs, roughly 1980-2010, I used a big old fuzz pedal, a volume pedal and later on a tuner pedal. A Fender P with Rotosound Swing Bass strings. That was all.

Don’t get me wrong,I applaud all new technologies that are available for us bass players!

I got a space for a EHX bass microsynth or Source Audio C4 Synth at bottom row Will probably be my final piece. Why are you againts it?

That's an excellent board, clearly a lot of thought went into the signal chain, much respect! The only observation I have is that the compressor is set at Attack 0% and Release 100%, with the Input pretty cranked too. What kind of tone does that create? Just curious, I'd not have thought to set it up that way. Also, I'm a huge fuzz fan - how do you like the Aguilar?

Not against adding a synth pedal at all I meant to suggest you consider adding one. The C4 and Future Impact both rock for lo fi sounds

Regarding reverb: time effects are not for me, but a busy bassist friend of mine loves to use a tiny bit: he says it isn't enough to mess with the mix, but provides nice depth when soloing. Similarly, another bassist friend uses a digital delay on the very shortest setting: barely noticeable, can't even be recognized as delay, but he loves the extra sumthin' sumthin' it provides.

Hey, I haven't used effects for the last 20 years than started needing it for a r&b, lo-fi etc. vibed project with a friend. Tried to keep it analog except one quirky bit pedal. Watched as many bass pedal chain videos as possible, tested a lot and got this all together in last month, most second hand.
I'm open to any suggestions, roasting or questions since im new to this world.
I know I could have kept it smaller with pancake patch cables but had this board/powersupply in bargain and had the cables to start with

Ah, mxr's attack is other way around i guess. This isn't adjusted yet, just took a photo after setting it up
Aguilar fuzz can be subtle and works great with other effects since it carries basses character, bass frequency and attack forward.

Yeah, this particular reverb can be set really fast and it's tone high. So it can sound like an upright basses acoustic punch. When you get a stereo out it really shines.

Sorry for the late reply sloppy_phil, thanks for that! I've never seen those mushroom cap style 'toppers'. I thought I'd seen some that were like a rubber cylinder an inch high that a fit down right over the button. Maybe it was a trick of the eye and they were like these?
