The family resemblance is there; as a happy Legacy 800 user, it sounds familiar to me.

For those who've played both, do the RB-Legacy amps sound significantly different than a Class-D Legacy with the same gain & EQ settings?

Great demo. Lots of different basses and lots of different styles and settings. This should be a standard thing for all companies self demoing their product. +1 for having the 250ml behind him on the table.

That was my thought as well. Sounds great though. Is that 3 rack spaces high? I wonder what the thought was behind that?

Sounds phenomenal (as expected)....little sad that "Presence" control is just a switch, as I prefer the knob like the original RBs had. That's about my only gripe though.

I’m hoping to check whether it has a lower noise floor than the Legacy 800. In the studio the hiss was unfortunately too high and made it unusable as a recording head. I liked the sound in general but the well reported hiss was too much when micing a cabinet

Intresting....I have had zero issue miking with Legacy, I will admit though I tend to use the 400RB more for those type of applications.

Wow. That does sound good. (as if y'all needed my comment to confirm).


My only gripe is the .. (bizarre) E-drum 'pattern' in the "Reggae Dub" example. Not exactly what comes to mind when I think Reggae (or Dub FTM).


But yea, the Bass Toanz were Pret-tey, Pret-tey dang tasty.
